It’s a done Deal
The Miracle Babies of Grace Church
Joseph Carlucci Adevai
with Steven B. George
How do we learn to see God at work in our lives today?
Sometimes it starts with learning to recognize what some call God-Incidences — those moments, both miraculous and mundane, where providence quietly makes itself known.
As anxiety around family planning continues to rise, the dreams of young couples can feel both costly and fragile. The longing for a child is one of the most intimate hopes a person can carry — and one of the most painful to surrender. In his 25 years of pastoring Grace Church of North Brunswick, Pastor Joe Adevai has seen firsthand how personal this pain can be, and how God can act through it in surprising ways.
In It's a Done Deal, ten couples share their deeply personal journeys through uncertainty, infertility, and years of waiting. These are families who faced medical impossibilities, who were told children would never come, and who discovered that God had other plans.
We witness real people grow into partners and parents. We see prayers answered in ways no one expected. And we watch God work faithfully behind the scenes, turning their hardest tests into their most powerful testimonies.
If you've ever been afraid to hope, you'll understand where these families once stood. And if you've ever whispered a prayer you weren't sure God could hear, their stories may remind you that he does.
“If you feel lost, read Joe’s story to see firsthand God’s power to redeem a life.”
—DR. DAVID DEAN, PhD, Dallas Theological Seminary
PASTOR JOE ADEVAI’s story spans two very different worlds. He spent 25 years on Wall Street, operating in high-pressure environments defined by performance and results. In 2009, he retired as a Senior Vice President of a $70 billion company. But after experiencing success, burnout, and personal breakdown, he discovered a deeper truth: achievement without purpose will never satisfy the soul.
Today, Joseph Carlucci Adevai is the Senior Pastor and Founder of Grace Church in North Brunswick, New Jersey. He also served as CEO of Serenity Springs Recovery, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center in Edgewater, Florida. Drawing from both corporate leadership and personal transformation, Pastor Joe speaks with rare credibility at the intersection of faith, resilience, and leadership.
Through candid storytelling, humor, and practical insight, he helps individuals and organizations move beyond survival mode into lives marked by clarity, courage, and calling. He continues to invest to support his family while serving in full-time ministry. Pastor Joe has been married to his wife, Alicia, for 34 years, and together they have six children. He is the author of A Reason to Live..
